Catching up or Starting over?

WOW!  It's been a while.  I was overcome at work in the month of December and trying to keep up with holiday festivities, so I dropped off the face of the earth for a while.  I am still struggling to keep up, but the other night my boyfriend said "When are you going to start blogging again?  I miss reading your posts."  Well I can't let him down, right?  So here I am, trying again.

I missed my first annual blogger-versary on December 19th and I also missed 2 months of IWSG.  Sorry Alex!  But the worst part of it all was that I missed you all.  How was your Christmas?  Did you get everything you wanted?  How was New Years?  Are you sticking to your resolutions?  Yes, I realize this is old news but I'd love to hear anyway.

I don't make resolutions because I always end up breaking them anyway, but this year I am committed to try every day not to stress out and to take time to notice and enjoy life around me more.  This sounds like a no-brainer, but it is difficult for me and takes a conscious effort every day.

Another commitment this year I have made for myself is my 2nd Annual A-Z Blogging challenge.  Will you be participating?  Last year I completed the challenge only a few months after I started blogging.  It was an awesome experience!  This year, I am going to participate on my Ocean Advocate blog.  If you haven't checked it out yet, why not get a head start and check it out today?

Ocean Advocate is very important to me and it is my main priority as we start 2013.  I will continue to use this blog for what it was intended for...Random Interruptions.

  1. December is a busy month both personally and career wise. It is about running as fast as you can and never catching up. Many of us had to walk away from blogging that month Iin order to get our life in order. It is nice to see that many of us have returned.

  3. I haven't decided on the A to Z Challenge. I've done it two years now and it is a very cool challenge. It's just very time consuming.

    1. Yes, I think the challenge is just too time consuming, but as I've decided to use my website just to direct people to my blog, facebook etc. I shall be blogging more often, so might join in. Good luck with the challenge and Ocean Advocate, have liked your page.

  7. Yay, welcome back! That is THE sweetest thing that your boyfriend misses your blog. Tell him thank you from all of us. ;) We met during A to Z last year, right? I think I'll have to take a pass on it this year but I look forward to your A to Z Advocate posts.

  10. I'm definitely tking part in the challenge. last year, as a new blogger, i tried to write a short flash fiction for every letter. I had so much fun with it! I think I'll do the same thing this year with a new theme:). Good luck!

  11. Unfortunately, the A-z is not for me. Too big of a resolution to commit to it. And frankly, I'm not sure I care :)
Resolutions this year? None. I'll get carried by the wind and rely on the heart this year, not the brain, nor the intentions.
    Christmas? Crappy. New Year's? Puah.
And you have a boyfriend who not only reads your blog, but prompts you to keep writing, saying that he misses your posts! So jealous!
    But happy for you.
    Welcome back.

  17. Welcome back Heather! We've missed you too! Good resolution to enjoy the blessings of everyday life. Can't go wrong with that attitude.

Happy blogoversary too! The years fly by, don't they? You'll be looking forward to April then along with many others.

RFW kicked off again for the New Year. Will you be participating in 2013? We are only setting up one challenge a month, so you now have about 3 weeks to post. And the word limit is now 1,000. We'd love to hear from you.
